New group of citizens joins ROP

MUSCAT: A new group of citizens holding general education diplomas (GED) and post-GED, has joined the Royal Oman Police (ROP) after passing the evaluation and acceptance phases in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, on Sunday.

The new recruits will undergo training at the Police Institute for New Recruits at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences. They will be groomed with the fundamentals and skills of police work as well as acquire legal and academic knowledge of police work.

The recruits expressed their happiness and pride for joining the Royal Oman Police, emphasizing that joining this prestigious security institution embodies a noble national mission and a great responsibility to contribute to maintaining security, consolidating stability, and serving the nation and its citizens.

Hamoud bin Ali al Rashdi, a new police recruit said: “Joining the Royal Oman Police is an honour and a great responsibility. I will do everything in my power to serve the nation and always live up to expectations.”

Saif bin Malik al Rajhi, a new police recruit said: “I am going to start a new chapter in my life, a chapter defined by commitment and discipline. I will always be a loyal soldier committed to protecting the security of the nation and safeguarding its resources with utmost dedication.”

Hawas bin Ali al Amri, a new police recruit said: “My acceptance into the Royal Oman Police came after completing the registration procedures for the mechanical engineering specialization, which deals with machinery, pumps, and troubleshooting their malfunctions.”
